Public Transport Survey
Posted by Kerry McCarthy, MP for Bristol East, at 16:35, Thu 17 June 2010:
We all know how poor public transport is in Bristol compared to many other major cities. I believe we need to do something about it, and that our Lib Dem council is not doing enough. There is a real risk of cuts to transport funding for Bristol from the Conservative/Lib Dem Government. Just this week the coalition Government has indicated they intend to shelve plans to electrify the Great Western Line. More cuts could come our way.
In order to gather more information about your opinions of public transport in Bristol, so that I can make the case for improvements on your behalf, I have launched a survey which can be found here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DQ2ZFK3
It only takes a minute to complete and will really help me to better represent your views.

Hello Kerrey.Just like you my late English mother in laws grandpa came from Ireland and had to chnage his name from Macarthy to Day to get a job in England. Now you are a member of Parliament and also raise issues about Bristol transport.I came to bristol in 1970 and it was a swell place from the hustle and bustle of London and Islington. But Bristol has expanded over 38 years in peoples, cultures, trafic and transport has been discussed fro yonks.labout rulled under Mickelright for 25 years and nothing was done and he blamed the welsh mafia for holding him back.Labour and Tories made an alliance and rulled Bristol and nothing was done.Lib Dems female leader blamed free masons for holding back the city.So who is who and folks in bristol are fed up as nothing gets done and big business has held the community to ransom.Indeed,in peoples cultural palace project, our first member, christopher sparks,a self procliamed creative king, and son of an Irish colonel, who was discharged from british army when he an accident in germnay and his brians got jangled said to me start digging at harbouside and get on with cultural palace project!one can only do that if one had ones own mighty military but as civilians one can only plead with politicians with courgae to do the right thing and behave themselves and not rob the public or line thier own pockets at public expense. hence, when labour was in power and North avon council wouldnt play ball, labour should have gone ahead with trams system and stopped at the border or boundry of Northavon so atleast most of the project would have gone, until the northernors came to thier senses.!In India and kenya,Indians would start a project and get it going and stop until they got more money to finish the project or it became and eyesore so government or other folks would come in and help to get it done.but they key thing was to plant the foundation and get it off the ground and hope and prya for the best.so in conclusion.People are fed up of politics and politicians who blame one another ,tom dick and harry but dont get on deliver.
