Have your say about Primary Care Changes

Posted by David Burrowes, MP for Enfield, Southgate, at 12:40, Tue 15 September 2009:

As you know I have been campaigning about service changes to secondary care, particularly at Chase Farm hospital.

I remain opposed to the Government's decision to downgrade Chase Farm's emergency and maternity services but am determined to ensure that the necessary improvements to primary care services are in place.

You may have read about Enfield PCT's Primary Care Strategy which is now out for consultation. See link www.enfieldpct.nhs.uk/publications/consultations.shtm for details. One of the proposals which greatly concerns me is the planned locations for the Neighbourhood Health Centres. Constituents in the wards of Cockfosters, Winchmore Hill and Southgate would need to travel to Enfield Town or Palmers Green for their nearest centre.

Come and have your say by attending a public meeting I have arranged with Enfield PCT's chief executive Stephen Conroy on Tuesday September 22nd at 7pm in the Gladys Child Theatre, Southgate College.

I look forward to seeing you there and in the meantime Happy New Year this weekend to all my Jewish constituents.

Best wishes, David Burrowes MP
