This doesn't really help, Ms Smith. I've had almost every energy-saving device possible fitted to my home, including new double-glazing and a new gas boiler. Solar power is too expensive to consider. And although I believe that I'm already getting the best deal possible from my energy supplier, their complicated rates don't make it easy for anyone without an advanced Maths degree to work out for themselves, let alone check if their billing is accurate and fair. Other than sitting in a bear-skin watching a tallow candle burn during the evening, there is nothing else I can do to reduce my bills, yet they're still outrageously high. Perhaps this is the result of privatisation - energy companies getting completely out of control with the prices they charge? Rather than making available yet more energy-saving ideas, it would greatly assist if you took steps to ensure that Energy suppliers provide prices and billing in plain English which will enable general members of the public (i.e., the consumer)to check that their bills are accurate and fair. My previous supplier (Npower) tried to overcharge me on both gas and electricity to the tune of £176. It took hours upon hours of phone calls and letters to have this reimbursed. If the matter were raised in Pariliament regarding the gobbledegook that passes for a price list of energy, perhaps something could be achieved???
