Dear constituent,
1. Thanks for signing up to the Hear from your MP service.
2. This is the first time I've used the service myself, so here goes...
3. I'm running a survey to ask YOU what you think about my performance as your local MP. To complete the survey click on the link below or cut and paste it into your web browser (Internet Explorer/Firefox/Safari/etc):
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=Ju2BVOB4eZmxSKaoA2HEGQ_3d_3d
4. I provide a DAILY "Lunchtime Update" service for constituents who want to keep tabs on me and get a quick update on my work, my thoughts, comments from my office staff, you name it... it's there.
Visit www.paulclarkmp.com and enter your email address into the sign up link. You'll get an email from me every weekday around lunchtime... can you possibly think of a more interesting way to spend your lunch hour?!
That's all for now - I'll keep updating you through Hear from your MP now that i've been told about the service, but keep checking paulclarkmp.com for my blog, regular video updates, and a whole lot more.
All the very best,
Paul
(PAUL CLARK MP)

On his website Paul Clark MP states that he responds to all e-mails sent to him. On the 21st November 2008 I e-mailed Mr Clark, through the WriteToThem facility, concerning the Carers UK Real Change Not Short Change campaign. To date I have not received an acknowledgement nor a response to my e-mail.Why so many broken promises and failings from members of our Labour Government?

Although Mr Clark responded with an apology to my request for him to attend a recent national Mental Health launch event (due to prior commitments), previous correspondence from my union PCS went unanswered. This was disappointing as even though I work outside his ward (Chatham) there are many other civil servants affected by staffing reductions who ARE also his constituents. Mr Shaw apparently did not bother to respond either. When will this Government finally realise that collecting taxes and duties cannot be done by the number of staff predicted? How will our former chancellor and his successor balance the books then?

I contacted Mr Clark (Twice) to discuss the difficulties my small company is facing and the fact that although I have paid through the nose over the last 10years in income tax, employers contribution tax and N.I.(Employment tax) there is no help or support whatsoever for me. Making redundacies to save the company will bankrupt me, not making redundancies will bleed the company to death. The BERR will LEND me money to help with redundancy payments on condition that I prove that I will be able to pay it back...in todays Britain only the banks can have that sort of confidence in the future. Needless to say I still have not heard from Mr Clark. Meanwhile, Champagne Socialism is alive and well in Westminster judging by the expenses fiddles we keep hearing about.
