The Recession

Jobs are now being lost as a result of the recession and that is very bad. Lost jobs equals lost homes. I'm working very hard indeed to try to keep companies in the area and also to attract new ones. I am starting up a small committee this week to do just that. Laurence Robertson M.P.

A noble gesture Mr Robinson, indeed, your gravitas toward main issues as seen in the press over the last several years is commendable. I can not however agree that by being seen to be 'active' in such matters, you win the hearts of your constituents and correspondingly their votes - you have to truly represent your constituents; using your office for the good of the public, a rare commodity among politicians and unfortunately, you are no exception. After all, paying heed to smaller issues that effect the lives of individual families doesn't win as many votes? I do not care what party a politician represents, but I do care about their honesty and commitment and how they can help, being our voice when it counts. In this latter regard, you have been found woefully inadequate, perhaps it is time for change - are you worthy of the challenge or should you step aside?
