I was sorry but not surprised to read in the local paper that some parts of our area suffers from some of the highest burglary rates in London. Burglary can turn your life upside down - its not just the expense and inconvenience of putting things right, but also the feeling of being less dafe in your own home.
The criminals don't care about the lives they ruin - they just want to sell your stuff for cash. If they can't do that they wouldn't do it. That's why I want to tell you about a newly re-launched initiative called 'Immobolise', which aims to make burglary less attractive.
Immobilise is the National Property Register promoted by Police forces throughout the UK, and is the largest service of its type in the world with over 18 million UK subscribers. By registering your property with Immobilize you make it much harder for criminals to sell on your stuff, severely reducing the attractiveness of burglary and driving down the number of burglaries.
It also allows you to post make, model, serial numbers and photos to a database so that if the worst does happen and your stuff is later found, it is easier for it to be traced back to you and returned.
I'm told that joining is easy. Just follow this link: www.immobilise.com
All the best, and hoping sincerely that you never get burgled.
