What should the PM do?
Posted by Jo Swinson, MP for East Dunbartonshire, at 11:35, Fri 1 August 2008:
In the aftermath of the Glasgow East by-election, and with David Miliband's perceived positioning for the Labour leadership this week, what is your view of the situation Labour are in, and what should the PM do?
Some Labour backbenchers have called for Miliband to be sacked, others say promote him to Chancellor.
Should the PM call an election, or wait until 2010?
I'd be really interested to know your thoughts!
Best wishes
Jo

Yes, I believe that the PM should call an election.

Decades of Labour's economic spin are finally coming to the surface. Tinkering with Income tax, Council Tax and Subsidies/Benefits has left us no better off than 20 years ago. It's a disgrace.
Since when did 'Free Market Economics' involve saving banks in the private sector? Public money is being used on all fronts to support a crumbling government and economy.
Please, we need an election before it's just too late to save the economy and ultimately the country.
Yes I do have a degree in Economics, I see things very clearly.
