Hi -
HearFromYourMP has let me know the welcome news that 50 of you have signed up, and have suggested that I could send you updates this way. In fact, I send a weekly update to over 2800 constituents, and I'd be more than pleased to add you to the list if you're not already on it. It saves duplication if I can write to everyone together rather than send my updates and consultation letters to two different lists.
If you're not currently getting my updates, would you like to? If so, please send the email address you'd like them sent to, to
NickMP1@aol.com
Best wishes
Nick Palmer MP

If we all save water and the water co's revenue drops what would happen. Regards Dave Abbott

In response to David Abbott: if demand for water fell significantly, water utilities would become less profitable, and investors would tend to steer their money into other sectors that had growing demand. Overall, Britain would probably be better off, since supplying water doesn't in itself generate further production as, say, selling computer software. It would still be necessary to maintain the network and pipes, though, so if there was a really enormous reduction in demand (rather unlikely I think) a subsidy might become necessary for basic maintenance, as with the rail network.
