January Update
Posted by Karen Buck, MP for Regent's Park and Kensington North, at 13:06, Fri 25 January 2008:
Happy New Year.
Karen has been busy this month with numerous issues and recently held a successful meeting about Climate Change in Parliament with Government Minister Joan Ruddock discussing the current Climate Change Bill making it's way through parliament.
Please visit Karen's website for details of two Early Day Motions she has recently tabled on London energy prices and preventing landlords from evicting tenants who complain about repairs: www.karenbuck.org.uk
There is also news about Mayor Ken's proposals to extend the Freedom Pass to allow people who have one to use it any time of the day, not just after 9am.
Karen recently led a Parliamentary debate about giving schools free access to local sports facilities in Westminster.
There was also good news for St. Charles Hospital as well as for residents in the Westbourne area as news of two big investments were made. The latter came following a success on the TV show "The People's Millions".
For all this and more, please visit Karen's website www.karenbuck.org.uk and don't forget you can have your say on each of the stories too!
