Nadine Named 'Princess Of The Blogs' In British Computer Society Awards

Posted by Nadine Dorries, MP for Mid Bedfordshire, at 14:40, Thu 8 November 2007:

Yesterday I was named as the 'Princess of the Blogs' in the first ever British Computer Society MP website awards. My website was one of just three MP's websites to be highly commended. The British Computer Society (BCS), launched the MP Website Awards as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations this year. With over 600 MPs, my site was just one of forty that made it to the final round.

I am delighted that my website has been officially awarded as highly commended by the BCS. The MP Website Awards recognise the best webs sites in terms of design, engagement and accessibility. Along with my own site, the other two MPs awarded highly commended websites were London mayoral candidate Boris Johnson MP and Respect's George Galloway MP.

The awards were judged by an expert panel which included Quentin Letts, parliamentary sketch writer for the Daily Mail, and Patrick Wintour, political editor of the Guardian. The judges were looking for the best in terms of design, presentation and content.

I will now look into other innovative and exciting ways in which I can make my website even more interactive and user friendly.

The website for the BCS also has additional information on this matter:
