Bartholomew House Unit

Posted by David Davis, MP for Haltemprice and Howden, at 12:05, Wed 1 August 2007:

The Humber Mental Health Trust has decided not to proceed with the proposed closure of the Bartholomew House Unit in Goole. This Unit provides mental health care to residents in the Howden area too.

I shared the concerns of many residents who opposed this closure and my researcher Andrew Percy has spoken to many local people about this facility.

The Unit is now saved for the next 3 to 5 years during which time I hope the funding problems facing the Humber Mental Health Trust can be resolved.
