I have recently been contacted by HearFromYourMP.com to tell me that you have asked to sign up for communications from me via their system and website. I am delighted that you have contacted me, and I am anxious to engage in a proper dialogue with you. However, I believe it is more effective to deal with my constituents directly, so I can address your personal concerns on an individual basis. The rather anonymous approach implicit in HearFromYourMP is one the puts barriers between an MP and his or her constituents that simply should not exist.
You might be interested to hear that my website is being redesigned and soon you will be able to indicate subject areas that interest you, and receive regular updates on those areas. Furthermore, if there are specific things that are concerning you, please feel free to contact me directly on luffpj@parliament.uk or by writing to me at the House of Commons. My new look website should be up and running within a few weeks, but it will use the same address as the present one - www.peterluff.org.uk.
