Reducing Domestic Carbon Emissions
Posted by Anne Snelgrove, MP for South Swindon, at 15:05, Mon 29 January 2007:
There are still some places at the environment discussion on Friday 2 February at New College, Swindon, from 7 - 8.30pm.
This is an important issue for all of us, especially as Swindon is expecting a lot of new housing over the next few years. That decision has been taken - now how do we make sure that we make the minimum adverse effect on the environment?
I am looking forward to this discussion; the previous environment meeting here with David Miliband was excellent and gave me a lot to work on.
This is from the Parliamentary website and there is a link below to more information.
“POST is pleased to announce the first in a series of open public meetings on scientific issues across the UK. The meetings will be hosted in the constituencies of some of the MPs who guide POST’s work. The aim is to give members of the public a chance to participate in lively discussions of topical scientific and technological issues with MPs and experts. The first meeting will be held on Friday 2nd February in Anne Snelgrove MP’s Swindon constituency where we will discuss how UK household carbon emissions can be regulated.”
