Climate Change Bill

Posted by David Jones, MP for Clwyd West, at 14:54, Thu 2 November 2006:

A huge coalition of campaigning organisations, from Friends of the Earth and the Women's Institute to the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats, have asked the government to introduce a Climate Change Bill in the next Queen's Speech.

To be effective in tackling climate change, this Bill must commit to binding annual targets for carbon reduction, independent enforcement and a range of other measures you can read about at http://www.canihavethebillplease.co.uk

Please help us push this Bill on to the statute books. We've got until November 15th, the day the Queen's Speech is published. Email (tony@canihavethebillplease.co.uk) to record your support - we will then pass it on to Tony Blair.

Send the email as it is or add comments of your own - either way, your support will help make a world of difference. Please also pass on this email to friends, family and colleagues and encourage them to support this campaign.
