I am very pleased to be told by HearFromYourMP.com that a large number of you want regular e-mail contact with me. Good news!
As a start, it would be helpful to me if you could please let me know:
1. which part of the Clwyd West you come from;
2. what issues are of particular concern to you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
David

I live on the far east ... Alyn Valley... and I guess we often think the constituency is centred on Colwyn Bay and the coast given the amount of time you and your predecessor applied.. what do I want a greater investment in rural areas to ensure parity in the cost of life styles with urban inhabitants, for example no doorstep recycling in our village I recycle most things and it costs me my money and time to get it all to recycle banks, those in our small towns get the thick end of the money spent on them, we have no village shop and well the list is on ok we have the countryside.. but its no longer a viable place to live for those on low incomes house prices and the neeed for a car means vilalges become the dormitaries of city commuters who do all there shopping in far away places..... and we want real investment in tourism its ok to say wales makes xxxx million out of walking and it will make xxx million more but where is the money to pay to develop the infrastructure to bring people in... the councils don't have it nor does objective 1 anymore.. more cycling facilites, both utility and forest leaisure trails in public and private woods, stop worrying about the carbon count for this constituency .. no one is giving up a car to go on no existent buses nor will it stop the school mum run.... and more sports ... give the kids something interesting to do .. they are leaving field and team sports in the droves .. more money to develop lifestyle sports skate bmx and anything the tory blue rinsers think are anti social. .at least it gets and keeps them out of the house and away from the tv getting rid of energy with out resorting to torching their school... It always worries me when you have an mp who not in the party in power as they are almost obliged to probably spend as much time trying to bring the opposition down as making good for the area and on the sidelines of the goverment as outsiders is there much influence you can get or does it all the good go to the consituencies of the party in power let us know more how you are going to get positive improvement for the area rather than worrying about some windfarms off Llandudno.. anyway one good thing since i subscribed to your news it pleases me to see you are actually popping your head up alot with written questions and appearances at least you are not tied up in a consultancy else where topping up your pay cheque

Many thanks for your e-mail.
Actually, although Colwyn Bay is the biggest town in Clwyd West, I am in Ruthin at least once a week and also made a point of visiting Llanarmon Community Council in October.
People who live in the rural areas have different pressures and priorities from those who live in towns. This government does not recognise this difference to any real extent.
You're right, I am trying to get rid of the government, because I believe it is bad for the country. However, my first duty is to Clwyd West and I am doing my best to get it back on the map. It was sidelined for too long.
I would be very happy to visit you and your community some time in the future, to discuss your concerns. Contact Jade at my London office (020 7219 8070) or Jean in the constituency office (9.00 am to 1.00 pm) (01492 5358450) to make arrangements.
Best wishes,
David
