Sandys Welcomes Expansion East Kent’s 50th Interest Free Loan
Posted by Laura Sandys, MP for South Thanet, at 10:10, Thu 23 January 2014:
Laura Sandys welcomed the news that over 50 businesses have now benefited from Expansion East Kent loans.
Laura said: “Having worked with Kent County Council to secure the £35 million funding pot after Pfizer announced that it would be leaving Sandwich in 2011, I am so pleased to see the 50th interest-free loan go out. This money is really changing lives.
“Expansion East Kent has already helped lots of businesses in Thanet and Sandwich start up, expand and all importantly, take on new staff. The companies that have secured loans so far are extremely diverse, from Bumble Beez, a children’s play area, to South East Bottling, a specialised brewery bottling facility. This latest round of investment is exciting as it will help to create further employment opportunities locally.”
Interest-free Expansion East Kent loans are still available and more information can be found at: http://www.kent.gov.uk/business/growing_your_business/grants_and_funding/expansion_east_kent.aspx
