I am deeply disappointed that you voted 'No' in the vote on gay marriage. While you 'share the concerns' of some constituents, you clearly do not share the concerns of myself and many other constituents who value equality more highly than you. I fail to see how allowing people of the same sex to enter into marriage with all it implies should in any way damage the institution. In my view, it can only strengthen that institution and in no way can harm heterosexual marriage. You have seriously gone down in my estimation and I'm very sad about that.

I support Roger for voting 'N0' on gay marriages and I congratulate him. Many times I wonder those who have voted in both the Houses for gay marriages are gay themselves. What lesson the Christians and Muslims can learn on the position of Prophet lot or lut (as revealed in the Bible and the Qur'an) in that their gay practices brought about the destruction of their nation. Is UK and other countries who have voted for gay marriages are soon to follow destruction? I would think yes. MPs before voting need to consult the opinion of their constituency, rather than follow party lines. The UK is following the US blindly and has to abide by the EU legislation. Has God created man and woman equally and if so man need to give birth to perpetuate this equality. And what about AIDS which has been brought about due to gay practices.

I agree wholeheartedly with Francis above. Surely if you failed to recognise the need for equal marriage whilst civil partnerships exist, you could have simply abstained from voting. I can only concur that you really believe we are not all equal in the eyes of the law, that religion trumps the law and for that reason you have lost my vote. I have lived with my partner for 17 years and would have expected a Novotel from Baroness Warsi and all the other Tory Lords and not for my Labour MP to defend the rights of those who feel threatened by true equality.

The problem I see in equal partnership, gay marraiges and sodaminity is that then these so called partners, who cannot produce children, want to adopt children. Why don't we follow the laws of nature, if not of God? Then comes the question of the rights of these children and so on. Why religion has been sidelined. If God had wanted equality, he would have created Adam and Steve and not Adam and Eve and we would have been extinct.
