Jobs Fair on Thursday
Posted by Richard Graham, MP for Gloucester, at 23:08, Wed 15 May 2013:
Do spread the word about my Jobs Fair in Blackfriars from 1000-1500 this Thursday: 30 employers with jobs from engineering to catering, the NHS to Morrisons, care homes and the Armed Forces - and a giant jobs board with about 100 other jobs; something for everyone! thx Richard

Oh mai, I was just thinking about this today, when I saw Tom Skinner's name on Twitter.
Not bad for a first effort, but I hope subsequent letters provide more weight for debate...

I have written letters to this MP and have never received a response. Extremely rude in my book. I wrote one letter to my previous Labour MP and received a prompt insightful response. Easy to see which MP actually feels like he is working for his constituents. I know who I am voting for in 2015!

Could you not give any more notice?

Dear Joanne, I have found your email of January this year – sorry that you have not received a reply. I will be doing so shortly.
Regards
Richard
P.S. If you or any other reader ever sends me an email that is unanswered after two weeks please send me a reminder – I receive 400 emails a day and reply to them as soon as possible but don’t always succeed.

I do wonder what the nature of these '400 emails a day' are, whether they are all or mostly brand new entreaties/points of information, for example, or re-posts due to either no response or one that was viewed as insufficient?
As I suggested above, it's early days yet, but if there aren't at least a dozen posts a day here on this service, I'll begin to suspect the latter...

OK, news of a Jobs fair was pretty slim picking, with nothing more for three weeks, if I'm honest.
Will this blog entry (one of many since May 16) be posted here, as no-one seems able to post on the blog itself?

It's official: the Glos/Somerset Army Cadets team are the Cadets Tug of War champions after defeating a Northants/Leics/Rutland team in the Macmillan Cancer Support Tug of War Finals at Parliament today.
All the girls in the team are from Gloucester's C Company, so a great day for our city and especially for Charlotte Fitzjohn on her 16th birhda. She later presented Macmillan Cancer Support with a cheque for £823.
So congratulations to Charlotte, Harriette, Jess, Ellen and Katie for a great success, making your MP very proud. Three of them may be representing England U21 soon which would be amazing..

No, the last post wsn't 'abusive', but was pretty darn rude, in ignoring my question above.
But this is what we can expect from our MP, who paints the picture that suits him. No-one has abused him here, obviously, but he claims he has to suspend comments to his blog because of all the abuse he receives there. Not a whit of proof for it, and if there was, wouldn't it be his duty to report it to the police?
This isn't going to fool anyone on polling day.
