A nuclear week...

Last week had a nuclear theme for me - I visited both the Faslane naval base where the Trident submarines are maintained, and the Hunterston nuclear power station (more on www.joswinson.org.uk).
What are your views on these nuclear issues, both civil nuclear power for energy generation, and whether Britain should retain a nuclear deterrent?
Both are topical subjects, so I look forward to reading your opinions.
