Meeting about the Closure of Wirral's Respite Centres
Date: Saturday 19 February 2011
Time: 1-3pm
Venue: Bromborough Civic Centre, Allport Lane, Bromborough
Map: http://s.coop/bromciviccentre
On Saturday 19 February from 1-3pm I am hosting an informal meeting at Bromborough Civic Hall regarding the closure of respite centres. There are 5 respite centres in Wirral that are run by local government which provide a service to carers allowing them some much needed time off from the demanding and stressful role they play in the care of their loved ones. As of 31 March the 5 centres in Wirral are set to close and there are no details on how the transition will take place for carers who use the public service who now have to use practices in the third and private sectors.
I am holding an urgent meeting with Bromborough Councillor Bob Moon who is responsible for Adult Social Services next week. But before the meeting I would like to meet as many people as possible who are affected by the closures and to hear their concerns in more detail.
There will be light refreshments served throughout and I would really like to see you there.
Best wishes,
Alison

Dear Alison McGovern,
I sent a message to you and also local MEP's on the question of the EU on the 14th Feb.
To date I have only received one reply and would apprreciate your reactions assuming you received the message. I do realise you are not an MEP,
regards,
John Godwin
