Hi I’m Pat Glass, Labour MP for North West Durham
I would like to thank everyone who supported my campaign and promise that I will work hard for the whole constituency, however people voted.
It is a great privilege to have been elected to represent the people I grew up with and live amongst. A great deal of responsibility and trust has been invested in me by you and I intend to be an extremely hard working constituency MP who will fight for North West Durham in Westminster.

I contacted you to ask for your support in joining the then campaign to have Bill Shaw released from an Iraqi jail. I wasn't even given the courtesy of acknowledging my email to your office. So tell me why constituents should bother when they receive this lack of attention or response?
